The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of TurkishTofas in Bursa on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by German ALBA Berlin 94-90 . ALBA made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Point guard Jack Kayil (191-2006) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson (190-1994, college: LIU Brooklyn) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. At the losing side Mexican-American point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-1993) responded with 23 points and 8 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Lithuanian center Marek Blazevic (209-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Five ALBA and four Tofas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
